Personal expenses
Persoonlijke uitgaven is a private spending tracker. It sits next to the business finance pages and is deliberately not part of the accounting: no VAT, no ledger, no effect on the reports.
Why it is separate
Because the distinction between a business cost and a private one is the distinction that matters most, and the safest way to keep it is to make them different records in different places. An expense is deductible and lands in the VAT return; a personal expense never touches either.
The list
Datum (date), Leverancier (supplier), Categorie (category) and Bedrag (amount).
Filters: Deze maand (this month), Openstaand (outstanding), Betaald (paid), or Alle (all). Alongside the list sits Grootste categorieën — the largest categories — which is the summary most people actually look at.
Categories
Categories are your own. They are the same categories the budget works in, so what you record here shows up against what you planned to spend.
Capturing
Besides typing one in, a personal expense can be captured from an email — a receipt that arrived in Mail becomes a record with the attachment already on it.
Personal expenses and the bank
The Bank worklist classifies transactions as Zakelijk (business) or Privé (private). Private ones are what this page is for, and the classification is where most personal expenses come from in practice — rather than being typed in one at a time.
