Your own account. Everything here affects you and nobody else.

Account

Your username, your role, when the account was created and when you last signed in. The role is shown, not editable — changing it is an admin action.

Password

Changing it needs your current password as well as the new one, twice. The minimum is 8 characters.

Changing your password does not sign your other sessions out. A bearer token issued earlier also stays valid until it expires — see Authentication.

Two-factor authentication

Enrol an authenticator app here. The flow is enrol, scan, confirm with a code — Kancil only turns 2FA on once you have proved the app works, so a mis-scanned QR code cannot lock you out.

Enrolling produces recovery codes. They are shown once. Store them somewhere other than the phone with the authenticator on it; they are the only way back in if you lose it.

You can regenerate the codes later, which invalidates the previous set, and disable 2FA entirely.

Appearance

Light or dark theme. The choice is remembered and applied before the first paint, so there is no flash of the wrong theme on load.

My contact card

Point Kancil at the contact in your address book that is you. The "add myself" shortcuts — as an attendee, a participant, an owner — use it.

It is optional. Clear removes the association without touching the contact.

If nothing is set the field reads Not set, and the shortcuts simply do not appear rather than failing when used.
